I hope everyone had an awesome weekend! I am having a blast roaming the streets of Charleston with a few of my favorite girls! Every house that we saw was prettier than the next and the charm of the town is unbelievable. 

I chose this super cheap and casual dress so I could be comfy in the hot heat. I paired it with a cross body bag and gold necklace to dress it up a bit. You would never know it was from Forever 21 and cost me $14.50. I even had someone stop me to ask if it was a Lilly dress! If you accessorize well, you don't need an expensive dress to do the trick.

CRAVING NEON

T.G.I.F. I hope everyone has fun plans this weekend now that the weather is getting hot and it is starting to finally feel like summer! I just flew into Charleston last night for a girls weekend getaway, which I am so excited for! I went to college in Charleston, South Carolina, so it is a special place for me to be!

Nothing makes a girl feel better than neon and when I saw this dress from across the store, I knew I had to have it. I paired it with my favorite multi-colored earrings and also kept my shoes neutral to ground the outfit. If I am wearing loads of colors and patterns on the top, I tend to keep my shoes neutral. I almost always go to my nude patent pumps and gold wedges.

BOLD STRIPES

Two of my favorite things, gold and stripes! Today, my outfit combines the two and I am so excited to share it with you. I added a large belt not only cover the waste band, but to also add another element to the dress. Using a belt breaks up an outfit and defines your waistline. My clients always have this view of stripes that it makes them look heavier, but to me I think stripes are only a distraction and I find them to be very flattering! I always say that "if you wear something with confidence, it creates a whole new look". The gladiators give the dress an edgier feel but for a more sophisticated look, try a closed rounded toe pump like these!

So excited to finally be wearing summer dresses! I couldn't wait to wear my new Lily Pulitzer dress before heading out to dinner with friends. Before I buy something, I try to think of three places I will wear the item so that I know it will be put to good use. I found this dress to be so versatile. Wear it the way I styled it for night, try flats for a daytime occasion, or throw on a blazer for a more professional style!
