This past weekend in NY, I was celebrating my best friend Jen's wedding. We had the best time getting pampered and getting ready for her special day. I don't get to see her often so when I do, we have a BLAST! These are pics of the rehearsal dinner but I will be sure to post pictures of the actual wedding day on Thursday. The rooftop bar was so much fun and the weather was perfect out (not so much on the wedding day, but at least we got one good night)! I am missing everyone already and am so jealous that the new couple is in Hawaii as we speak! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend and are enjoying this awesome weather!!

Happy Thursday! There is nothing I like to do more than to dress my dining room table up and have friends over for dinner. Even though my husband does most of the cooking because I am a better "cleaner", I love the preparation for it all. 

I love matching napkins to plates as much as I love putting together an outfit! I know... I am such a dork. Anyways, I wanted to show you how easy and fun it is to play around with dishes, flowers, and silverware to make your table a party of its own. I hope this gives you inspiration to host a dinner party at your home.

 I am off to NY for one of my best friends weddings tomorrow! I am so excited for all the fun festivities. I will be sure to post detail shots next week for all you newly engaged girls. Have an awesome weekend :)

Happy Monday! 

I just got back from being out of town for a week and as much fun as I had, it feels great to be home. I am loving this Fall weather and am so excited to put on my boots this month! 

Lind's and I headed downtown for the day and had the most beautiful day to take pictures. We walked around all day and these loafers felt like slippers the entire day. No lie! 

J.crew does it best when it comes to a casual outfit. I couldn't help but to snatch up this monogrammed hat with "a sprinkle of gold" emblem on the front. And as for this Bar-stripe Tee, it flew out of the store three times before I could get my hands on it! 

P.S- don't let the "no white after labor day" rule fool you. There are no rules this year! Go ahead and throw them on!

BEACHING IT

Hello! I am having a blast hanging out with the family in this cute little beach house right on the water. We have ridden bikes everywhere we have gone and the people here are just so friendly. Everyone wants to stop and say hi. Every morning Ty and I ride to this little family bakery to get frozen coffees and cinnamon buns. I don't want to leave! We are headed back home today for a friends wedding. Can't wait to dance with friends I dont get to see as often as I would like to :)

Good Morning! Ty and I went out with friends to dinner this weekend and somehow we ended up at a waterfall on the way home... We were passing by and thought it would be fun to go take a peek. Other than almost falling in the swampy water in heels, we had a blast. I love this Kiss Kiss tee written in all different languages. I think it is a fun conversation piece and really spices up an original tee. I just got to the beach so I am relaxing watching the waves and sipping on coconut vanilla coffee :) Hope you aren't working too hard and have a great day! See you later on this week :)

STEP INTO MY FOYER

I wish I had a before photo of my foyer to show you how far it has come since I first bought my house. My teeny, tiny foyer is one of my favorite spots in my entire home. It is the first room you see when you walk in and the last when you leave, so to me, it needs to be a "wow" factor. I love wallpaper for a small space. It really cozy's up a room and creates a whole new vibe. Thibaut, of course, has some of my favorite prints. 

I found both the mirror and table in consignment shops and know I will have them forever. The table top is painted with gold leaf so it shines at night. It reminds me of the furniture I saw in hotels when I was in Italy. The black and gold lamps were antiques passed down to me from my mom. I love it when my mom gives me her older pieces because it makes them extra special. 

I hope this post inspires you to create a cozy little space in your home that you can walk by every day and say "wow" :)

OXFORD, MD

I had such a fun labor day weekend hanging out with family and friends in Oxford, MD. It was the cutest town ever, so quiet, and so peaceful. The houses were GORGEOUS and definitely made me dream of having a house on the bay someday. We stayed poolside one day, and rode on the boats the other. There is no where I would rather be than on a boat sipping margaritas. It made me sad to leave but I am always excited to get back to my own home :)
